Memorializing the Magic
Oh, Starbucks Worthington, how we miss thee.
Many know that I have worked for Starbucks for over a year and found a home at the Worthington store this past Summer. When we got word that our store was on the list of store closures we were all super bummed, to say the least. For each of us that worked there we loved the place, the customers and each other. As a way to “memorialize the magic”, as I call it, that was Starbucks Worthington, we organized a photo with all of us in front of our beloved store. Thanks to Jonathan for capturing this for us!
Festival Fun
Late last night, Jonathan and I walked down the street to the St. Michael Festival. Living right next to it, I have heard the sounds and seen people flocking to it each Labor Day weekend but never went. When we walked into it, I was just amazed with all there was to see, smell and hear. All of these images were taken without flash, simply using the light that we were given. I found myself keeping the camera to my eye the whole time and we both said that it was just like filming a cinematic feature, there were people swarming in and out of the frames of our camera view and lights changing and flashing around us. Actually Jonathan said at one point, “doesn’t this remind you of the beginning of a really scary movie?”
